The CIA is Here with Ideas

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood for some CIA themed patches from my buddies Sadmin at PK Patchworks and Owen at Snake Hound Machine. Both of these patches share some commonality in taking liberties with the wonderful agency known as the CIA that does so much good for our country (please don’t suicide me with two to the head) and that they’re limited edition patches. So sit back and relax as I go over these fine pieces of memorabilia for your viewing pleasure.

Starting us up is an embroidered patch, the Central Intelligence Agency Meme Warfare Center. “And you shall know the memes, and the memes will make you free.” The colors and details are nice and it measures at 3.5″ in diameter. It has a merrowed border and velcro hook backing. This patch plays on the release of information that brought to light the activities of the CIA during the 2016 Presidential Election. Specifically, they investigated and created memes for the sake of influencing voters and they didn’t do very well. It’s closed now, but 2016 was truly the year of the meme.

Next up is a 3D PVC patch which means it’s nice and bendy.. It measures 3.125″ wide by 1.5″ tall and has velcro hook backing. I’ve worn this patch but I’ll probably soon relegate it to looking awesome on my wall so I don’t lose it. The design is an allusion to a game mechanic Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain. The mechanic in question is adapted from the Fulton Balloon Technique invented by Robert Fulton, Jr. in the 1950s for the CIA. It isn’t the only variation of this patch since a few other colors on the website, but to my knowledge there are only 5 of this variant in existence.

Thank you again for joining me for my post today. If you enjoy what you’ve seen here today, please go support me on my Patreon. Have a great weekend and remember, cut towards your chum, not your thumb.

Just some Army veteran who likes guns and patches. So strap yourselves in for some high-octane tactical unboxing action of patches I buy, patches I'm selling, and sometimes just random other stuff I get in the mail. Oh, and it isn't really that high octane now that I think about it.
